Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey

A “Library E-Reserve Resource” allows you to connect to your course electronic reserves directly through Course Hub. Course Hub saves your students time by putting all of your online resources in one place.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Log into Course Hub with your Middlebury username and pasword:

2. On the left, under “My Semester Dashboard” click on the academic term you plan to add resources to (e.g. Spring 2014 - MIIS).

3. Next to the course you want to add a MIIS Library E-Reserves listing resource to, click the grey “Manage Resources” button. This will take you to a “Resource” page for the course.

4. To add a Library E-Reserve (ERES) resource, click on the “+ Add a Resource” link in the course menu. This will take you to the Resource content type management page with the following options:

    • ERES Resource
    • Link Resource
    • RSS Feed Resource
    • SANSSpace Resource
    • Wordpress Resource

To proceed with adding a link to your course electronic reserves, click "ERES Resource" in the list of content types.

5. Next, configure the following settings to link your ERES resource:

ERES Course ID (cid) (*required)

Notes: After setting up your ERES with the MIIS Library, enter the Course ID (cid) number found at the end of the URL to your ERES page. For example, for ERES page URL: http://miiseres.middlebury.edu/eres/coursepage.aspx?cid=1277, the course id is '1277'.

Who can view the ERES Link? (*required)

Default is set to "The Class".

Notes: You generally should not change the default. Changes to this setting may affect your ERES resource visibility settings.

6. Finally, click "Save" to proceed with adding a link to your course ERES resource.
